V2VBN Member Policy

Meetings

• There will be two meetings in a month on a fixed day. For example, if any chapter meeting is held on the 2nd Monday of the month, then the second meeting will be on the 4th Monday of the month. In case there is a 5th such day in a particular month, the chapter will plan other activities that enhance bonding within members.

Attendance

• Members will have to attend all the meetings of V2VBN. In a rolling period of 6 months, only 2 absences will be allowed. In case of a medical emergency, a medical certificate will have to be produced for approval by the Leadership Team. The rolling period will be counted from the month the member joins V2VBN.
• If members remain absent for more than 2 meetings in a period of 6 months, the LT Team will issue the control letter, irrespective of position in V2VBN or influence, and the membership is liable to be cancelled. The category will then be available for a new member.

Substitute

• Members can send their representative as their substitute in a meeting in case of pre-planned non-availability. Each member can send substitutes a maximum of 2 times in the rolling period of 6 months. In case of more than 2 pre-planned non-availabilities, the member will have to take prior approval from LT.

Participation

• Members will have to actively participate in the meeting. Members will have to speak for 30 seconds about their business or profession of their specific category in each meeting to make other members aware of their business or profession.

Meeting Timing

• Each member will have to reach the meeting venue before 7:30 am for pre-meeting networking. The meeting will start at 8:00 am and will be completed by 9:30 am. From 9:30 am onwards there will be member networking with breakfast.

Category

• In the chapter, only one person for one category as determined by V2VBN will be able to join. In case of a category clash at the time of joining, the member may join another chapter. Members should focus on their specific category business or profession.

Age Criteria

• Members above the age of 21 can join V2VBN.

Eligibility

• Businessmen, professionals, industrialists and entrepreneurs can join V2VBN.
• Only Vaishnavs can join V2VBN.
• In case of any employee who is a decision maker in the business, such as CEO or MD, only he or she can join.
• An individual member cannot be a member of a second V2VBN(tm) Chapter, nor in any other group that allows only one person per profession and whose primary purpose is to create business opportunities for one another, because it substantially reduces their commitment to the Chapter Members.

Referrals

• Members have to support and bring quality referrals to other members. It is advisable for members to have F2F meetings and then pass referrals for quality business referrals.

Visitor

• Members can bring qualified visitors to the chapter meeting.
• Visitors may attend up to two chapter meetings.

Spotlight Presentation

• Members will have to make spotlight presentations of their business or profession. Only 2 spotlight presentations will be allowed in a chapter meeting.

Badge and Dress Code

• Members must have the badge on the right side of their coat and pin on the V2VBN pin on the left side. The badge plays an important role in helping other members know their name and category and remember them easily.
• If members do not wear the badge and pin during the meeting, they will have to skip their 30 seconds during the meeting.
• Dress code for men is a 3-piece suit, 2-piece suit, blazer or formal koti, and for women a formal corporate look dress.
• Members not in proper dress will have to skip 30 seconds during the meeting.

Membership Renewal

• Membership fees paid by members are for 1 year and each year members will have to renew their membership. Membership renewal has to be done a month prior to the month in which membership fee is due for renewal. For example, if membership fee is due for renewal in May, then the member must renew membership on or before 30th April.
• Renewed members will have to take oath at each renewal and accept the existing policy of V2VBN.
• Renewal of membership is subject to the approval of the Membership Committee of the chapter.

Change in Category

• Members who wish to change their category must submit a request for category change form and get approval from the Chapter's Membership Committee.
• Name change or category change will be considered a brand new membership application and fee and will be subject to approval.

Change of Chapter

• Once the member joins a chapter, he or she will be a member of that particular chapter and no change of chapter is allowed, except for reasons of medical issues, change of residence or change of business place. In such cases, the member should first inform LT. LT will take it up with SD and SD shall take it with the Team Director. The Team Director, after discussion with the respective core team, will inform the decision.

V2VBN Name

• Members shall not use V2VBN Intellectual Property, such as logos, trademarks, names, slogans, copyrighted materials, policy and procedures, to manufacture, distribute, sell, market or promote any products or services, or otherwise use the V2VBN Intellectual Property. Illegal use of the Intellectual Property of V2VBN is a criminal offence.

Charges for Lost Badge and Pin

• For the first time, the badge and pin will be given to the member free of cost.
• Badge and pin are the assets of the member and V2VBN and therefore the member is expected to preserve the same.
• In case the badge or pin is lost by a member, it shall be immediately informed to the Treasurer and the member shall pay Rs. 500/- for each badge and pin to the Treasurer.

Membership Fees

• At present, membership fee is Rs. 5000/- + GST. This fee can be increased by the Core Team in consultation with Je Je Shri.
• At present there is no admission fee. It can be decided by the Core Team in consultation with Je Je Shri HDH Yadunathji Mahodayshri.
• For the regular meeting expenses, admin fees are to be decided by the Regional Team as per area-wise hotel charges and shall be collected quarterly in advance through the online V2VBN application. No cash or cheque shall be collected.

Removal of Member

Disciplinary action against members and removal of members may happen on the following grounds:

• Non-compliance of V2VBN Policy.
• Absence in the meeting for more than 2 times in a running 6 months period, or breach of substitution policy or medical policy.
• Non-adherence to V2VBN meeting decorum during the chapter meeting.
• Any type of improper or foul communication with co-members, visitors or any other person.
• Misbehavior of any member towards any other member, chapter or V2VBN organization, including any sexual abuse, business ethics issue, fraud, cheating, forgery or any other matters.
• Any insult or abuse of any person, religion, caste, creed, customs or practices.
• Doing any act or action which results in shattering the trust of Thalorji and HDH Yadunathji Mahodayshri.
• Decision of Regional Team will be final. Any member aggrieved by the decision of the Regional Team will have to escalate the matter to the Core Team. The Core Team, after taking Regional Team views, will take the final decision. Such decision will be final and binding on the member.

Terms and Certifications

By submitting this application, you agree:

• To receive communication from or relating to V2VBN.
• To authorize V2VBN to share your information and data submitted by you with other V2VBN members, affiliates, vendors and third parties in order to provide you services as a V2VBN member.
• Membership fees paid are not refundable.

Arbitration

• Any disputes arising out of or related to this Agreement or the member's participation in V2VBN shall be resolved firstly by the Core Team as per the name displayed on the website.
• Decision of the Core Team shall be final and binding on the parties, and the parties agree to be bound thereby and to act accordingly.
• If such dispute is not resolved amicably, then any aggrieved party may refer the matter to arbitration.
• Arbitration shall be carried out by sole arbitrator.
• Sole arbitrator shall be appointed as per the provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act of 1996.
• The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in Ahmedabad.
• The language of arbitration shall be English and the cost of arbitration shall be borne by the party against whom an award is passed.
• The arbitration award shall be final and binding on the parties, and the parties agree to be bound thereby and to act accordingly.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• The terms and membership related matters shall be governed by the laws of India.
• Courts of Ahmedabad shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Limitations on Liability

• The liability of V2VBN, its officers, directors, employees and representatives shall be limited to the amount of yearly membership fees paid by the members.
• In no event shall V2VBN be liable to you or any third person for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages.

Certification

• I hereby declare and certify that all statements contained in this application and any accompanying documents are true and correct.
• My application shall be liable to be rejected in case of any wrong information, misrepresentation or false statement made by me in submitting the information.
• I agree, accept and will abide by all the terms and conditions set forth herein and those contained within the V2VBN Member Policies, Procedure, Guidelines and Basic Principles.
• I acknowledge that breach of any of these terms, conditions and policies shall be grounds to terminate my membership.
• Decision of the Core Team of V2VBN shall be final and binding on me.
